The Kshatriyas were warriors who were in charge of government and army.Vaisyas or commoners were usually farmers, craftspeople, or merchants.Under the Vaisyas came the Sudras. Sudras were workers and servants who had little rights. People's castes determine there jobs. Caste also decided people's choice of who to marry. The lowest people of society were the Untouchables. The Untouchables were not part of the varna system. They did work that varna Indians would not need to do such as collecting trash, skinning animals, and carrying dead bodies.
